Student Safety

Greetings Parents and Students,

We want to thank our entire Gale Ranch Middle School community as we exercise patience and safe driving practices.  We need a combined effort from the entire Gale Ranch Community and our students to promote their safety before, during and after school.  As we continue to grow as a community and school, it is imperative that we take extra precautions when dropping students off and picking them up.  We appreciate your attention to our traffic concerns whether it be on Main Branch, South Monarch or inside our GRMS parking lot.  Please review some of the following traffic safety reminders:  

MAIN BRANCH ROAD

  • U-Turns are NOT allowed on Main Branch or at any time and especially before and after school 
  • Students are not to cross the street during drop-off / pick-up unless they are using a crosswalk
  • Please do not park your car on Main Branch (no parking on Main Branch from Bollinger to our school driveway) while waiting for your student as this backs up traffic and creates an unsafe situation for students and fellow drivers

SOUTH MONARCH ROAD

  • Students are not to cross the street during drop-off / pick-up unless they are using a crosswalk
  • U-Turns are NOT allowed on South Monarch at any time 

GRMS PARKING LOT

  • Please be aware while in the school parking lot area that you are not blocking other parked cars while waiting for your child.  It is recommended that you find a parking space as this also backs up traffic from time to time
  • You must pull all the way to the right hand side curb in order to drop off or pick up your student.  Students are not to be picked-up / dropped off from any other lane
