Sue Goldman, Principal

Ms. Goldman began her educational career in 1997, teaching both English and Social Studies at the high school level.  Before becoming principal at Gale Ranch, she spent eight years as an assistant principal at both high school and middle school levels within the Castro Valley Unified School District.  She is committed to ensuring the success of every student and this is accomplished by building relationships with all involved and providing support wherever needed.  When not at school, you can usually find Ms. Goldman in the pool, on a bike, or running along a trail!

Meighen Eberly, Assistant Principal

Ms. Eberly started teaching in 1998 as an eighth grade teacher in Castro Valley. Over nearly 20 years in Castro Valley, she taught English, Social Studies, and Spanish, and then worked at the district level to support English and Social Studies teachers at the middle and high school levels with their curriculum and instructional needs. Ms. Eberly is passionate about supporting all students through their middle school journey.  When she's not at work you can find her spending time with her family, traveling to baseball stadiums, or hanging out with her dog, Bayley.

Stephen Anderson, Assistant Principal

Mr. Anderson embarked on his career in education in 1996.  During his tenure in education he has served as a middle and high school social studies teacher, club advisor and swim coach.  He worked as a Teacher on Special Assignment for two years at Monte Vista High School before becoming the assistant principal at Diablo Vista Middle School, where he has been for the last twelve years.  Mr. Anderson is committed to assisting students in developing positive character strengths, enabling them to be healthy, happy, and successful!  During his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, as well as sea kayaking, hiking, and traveling the world.
